Choose Fire-Resistant Cables for Eco-Friendly Cable Solutions
Low-smoke, halogen-free fire-resistant cables represent a new type of cable that combines both fire resistance and flame-retardant functions. These cables utilize NHP fire-resistant mica tape, which offers high strength, superior heat resistance, and excellent electrical performance under high temperatures. This exceptional fire-resistant mica tape meets the standards of GB12666.6-90 or IEC331 and is suitable for various types of fire-resistant wires and cables.
Currently, the standards for flame-retardant and fire-resistant cables in China are primarily recommendation-based test methods. These standards often operate independently, lacking coordination and integration, and are typically evaluated in isolation. Recently, the Ministry of Public Security issued the mandatory standard GA306-2001, "Flame-Retardant and Fire-Resistant Cables: Classification and Requirements for Plastic-Insulated Flame-Retardant and Fire-Resistant Cables." This standard classifies fire-resistant cables and provides comprehensive regulations on smoke emission and toxicity. In terms of standards, China has reached international levels and can produce products that meet global requirements. Today, a variety of fire-resistant cables have been developed both domestically and internationally, with rated voltages of up to 0.6/1 kV. However, the quality of smaller specifications remains unstable.
